Rachel Utz…A Love Note

Every day I wake up, I am faced with challenges; sometimes, even before I get out of bed, because I have an awful habit of checking my phone as soon as I open my eyes. I see people with better bodies, people who seem to be further along in their faith, people with cuter outfits, people with better relationships, people seeming to have their lives together, people with not as many problems, people with better grades, and the list goes on and on. It is very difficult for me to put on a smile and just go on with my day. I try to turn to His Word and truth when these moments seem to get the most of me, but sometimes it is hard to quiet my mind to even allow myself to hear from Him.

The past month or so, I made it a goal for me to set aside time to really search His word for what He says and thinks about me. A lot happened this month where looking at His truth was my only option to keep my head above the raging waters. With everything that has gone on, I have been so very happy to have His Word to turn to, because His love for me is steadfast. I pray that as you read these words, that your heart will be stirred to truly believe what He says about you and that you will quiet your mind and spirit to truly hear His love through His Word.

You are loved, treasured, and beautiful inside and out. Remind yourself of these truths each day. It takes 28 days to form a habit. I believe we should challenge ourselves to look for His truths daily for the next month and see how it changes the way we look at ourselves. I believe that if we get a better idea of just how much God loves and cares about us, our lives will change remarkably.

Dear me,

I have been fearfully and wonderfully made (Ps. 139:14). My God will fight for me (Ex. 14:14). I am a sheep of His pasture (Ps. 100:3). I am cared for (1 Pet. 5:7). I am more precious than jewels, and there is nothing that can compare to me (Prov 3:15). I was created in God’s image (Gen. 1:27). I am God’s workmanship (Eph. 2:10). I am a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for God’s own possession, and I was called out of darkness into His marvelous light (1 Pet. 2:9). When I am weak, I am made strong (2 Cor. 12:10). I am able to do all things through Him who gives me strength (Phil. 4:13). I was not given a spirit of fear, but a spirit of power, love, and self-control (2 Tim. 1:7). I am rooted and built up in Him (Col. 2:7). I have been set free (Gal 5:1). I have been blessed with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places (Eph. 1:3). For I was chosen before the foundation of the world (Eph 1:4). I have been raised with Christ, seated at the right hand of God (Col. 3:1). I am loved and chosen by God (1 Thess. 1:4). I am from Him and have overcome the evil spirits of the world (1 John 4:4). The hairs on my head are numbered (Luke 12:7). I am altogether beautiful, there is no flaw in me (Song 4:7). I am one of God’s chosen ones, holy and beloved (Col. 3:12). I am the clay, God is the potter; I am the work of His hands (Isa. 64:8). God is within me, I will not fall (Ps. 46:5). No one will be able to stand against me all the days of my life (Josh. 1:5). I have been loved with an everlasting love (Jer. 31:3). I have been made a new creation (2 Cor. 5:17). I am an ambassador for Christ (2 Cor. 5:20). I am clothed in strength and dignity (Prov 31:25). Because I am precious in God’s eyes, honored and loved by Him, He would exchange nations for my life (Isa. 43:4). The glory of the Lord rises upon me (Isa. 60:1). Among all nations, I am God’s treasured possession (Ex. 19:5). I am being transformed into His image (2 Cor 3:18). I am called His friend, for He has made everything known to me, chosen me, and appointed me to go and bear fruit (John 15:15-16). God chose me out of the world (John 15:19). My inner self is being renewed day by day (2 Cor. 4:16). God is in my midst; he rejoices over me with gladness, he quiets me with His love, he exults over me with loud singing (Zeph. 3:17). Because I am a child of God, I am an heir of God and a co-heir with Christ (Rom. 8:16-17). I am the King’s daughter and am all glorious within (Ps. 45:13). I have been redeemed and called by name; I am His (Isa. 43:1). I have been made a daughter of God through faith (Gal. 3:26). Out of all the peoples on the face of the earth, God has chosen me for his treasured possession (Deut. 14:2). I am a crown of beauty in the hand of the Lord, a royal crown in the hand of my God (Isa. 62:3). God is keeping count of my sorrows and putting my tears in His bottle (Ps. 56:8). Whom shall I fear (Ps. 27:1)? Though a war breaks out against me, I will be confident (Ps. 27:3). God is the vine, I am the branches (John 15:4). I will remember the deeds of the Lord (Ps. 77:11).

Love always,

Me
